Prague. Praha.

Ahoy (Hi in Czech)

I got to visit Prague a few weekends ago. I had not got the chance to blog about it, due to a variety of reasons, but worry not. I am back! :-)

I visited Prague with two other friends. And it was quite the treat. Especially since one of my friends was born and raised in Prague. So we also got a free tour guide! Yay!

To start things off, we departed from the train station and in about 3-4 hours we had arrived at the main train station.
Praha hlavní nádraží(Prague Railway Main Station)

And from there our adventures began...

The city square to the local bakery, to the main sites and baroque styled buildings.
It truly was a great experience.
It is no wonder that Prague is so well known and beautifully described by all who have been lucky enough to grace her streets.
But enough of my mumbo jumbo...here, I will let the pictures do all the talking. Pictures are worth a thousand words like they say :D

So this was interesting
A man on a horse upside down.
Yep!

Apparently, this is to depict a symbol of defiance to the western world.
Or something like that ;-)
Snapshot from our visit to the local bakery.
Yum!

The famous Astronomical Clock.
The stairs to go up to the clock

The view from above
Totally worth the climb and the crowds.

And then the clock struck noon!...
All the 12 disciples pop out...quite the scene...

We then visited some of the jewellery stores with jewels made from Bohemian crystals...some of the finest!

Oh!
Now I know where to go ring shopping ;-)
